La Famille de Vidrine at 275 Years Book
275 years after Jean Baptiste Lapaise de Védrines left France to serve the King in the Louisiana Territory where he would eventually establish a new life and leave a rich heritage, Fr. Jason Vidrine, along with Mardell Sibley and John R. “Randy” Vidrine, reflect on that journey and the family he began. Gathering facts in civil and ecclesiastical records – in addition to stories that have been passed down – they seek to both preserve and present the history of the Vidrine Family in Louisiana as it has developed throughout the span of nearly three centuries.
